Tirril lies on the B5320 road 3 miles south-west of Penrith. If travelling on the M6 leave at junction 40 and follow the A66 signed Scotch Corner for 1 mile. Take the A6 signed Shap for 1/2 mile. In Eamont Bridge turn right onto the B5320 and follow for 2 miles. As you enter the village turn left at the small village green. Tirril Farm Cottages lie at the end of no through road (about 200 metres).

Penrith is three miles away and lies on the main West coast line and major bus routes - travel from Penrith to Tirril by arrangement.
